These images from my travels throughout the mining towns of Colorado illustrate my fascination with the decaying American West. Traveling down scenic byways and meandering through small mountain towns, I see beauty and inspiration in places long  abandoned and condemned. My morbid curiosity is intrigued upon discovery of an old home filled with the remnants of an anonymous life.  Many explorations have led me throughout Colorado and down through the pueblo towns of New Mexico, where I stay overnight in obscure motels in small towns that most people fly right through. I often put myself into my photographs while I am exploring to illustrate the intimate connections I often feel to these different environments. 

 I juxtapose tactile macro images to wider shots that depict  the open road and changing landscape.  Capturing a fading history that exists only through chipping paint and artifacts, I explore  these spaces in a transcendental waltz through centuries.
