Last summer I had the pleasure of shooting Brad and Lindsay’s awesome summer wedding, up at Dry Gulch Placer, in Breckenridge, Colorado. We couldn’t have asked for better weather on this June day! This bridal party was more fun than I knew what to do with! We didn’t stop laughing the entire day, which is definitely the way I like to work! Lindsay’s attention to detail and beautiful mountain esthetic were impeccable. The groomsmen were having entirely too much fun and everyone danced into the wee hours of the morning. (Those photos won’t be posted to protect all those involved in the dance party :)
Breckenridge is closed for the season.. and we are getting more snow than ever.. Here’s a shot from 5 Chair early morning style!
Portraiture on the road.
My favorite part of any road trip is exploring the tiny towns off the interstate. I live for scenic byways and highways, and the thrill of finding an old shack with beautifully textured walls in a ghostly mountain town. I like shooting in the outdoors, I love the rush of a new location - the serendipity you encounter on the road- and the endless lure of an open road with no cars ahead or behind.

This is my good friend Cici, launching on to a sizable rail in the Freeway Park in Breckenridge, Colorado. Sisi is originally from Sweden, a recent resident of Norway, and my roommate in Breck. She’s an insane snowboarder and recently took 1st in the Volcom Peanut Butter and Rail Jam in Frisco, and the Trans Am at Copper. Yeah, she slays it. But what makes her so incredibly special is her unwavering positive attitude and awesome energy. I wanted to shoot her with the sun blasting out behind her, because it really illustrates her personality. She’s a massive sun beam. If you are lucky enough to ride with Sisi, take some runs with her and have some fun. She’s hard to miss with bright blond dreads and rainbows and peace signs on her Airblaster coat! Thanks for making snowboarding so much fun Sisi…
